Welcome to the Sydney Amateur Sailing Club (SASC). We’re excited to welcome new Crew Members, no matter your sailing experience. Whether you’re looking to try sailing for the first time or want to become a regular crew member, we’ll help you get started. We’ll match you with a skipper and boat that suits your skills, making it easy to join in the fun and sail with a friendly and welcoming group.
Sailing is an exciting and rewarding activity that captures the spirit of adventure. Whether you’re learning new skills or putting years of experience to work, each outing offers something unique.
The camaraderie among sailors is one of the most enjoyable aspects, as you work together to navigate and manage the boat. The fun of being out on the water, combined with the challenge of handling the sails and reading the wind, creates an engaging and dynamic experience.
Even if you’re just happy to be ballast, there’s a role for everyone, making it an inclusive and team-oriented activity.

Successful racing relies on attentive and enthusiastic crew. We understand it might not be for everyone, but it’s definitely worth giving it a go!
